Bloc Party debut seven new songs at comeback gig

They’ve been away for three years, but Bloc Party are BACK with some new material.

The band debuted seven new songs at their comeback gig in Glasgow last night that will appear on their new album ‘Four’.

The band also played a set at London’s HMV Forum on Monday (June 18) to family and friends, however last night was their first official performance back together.

After opening their set with two new songs entitled ‘3x3’ and ‘So He Begins To Lie’, lead singer Kele Okereke said:

It’s been a long time, this has been the most beautiful day I’ve ever experienced in Glasgow.”

Kele has worked on a solo career during the band 3-year break.

Who’s excited they’re back then eh?!

Jack Penate Unveils New Song On Twitter

He’s been quiet for a few years, but London boy Jack Penate has finally graced us with his musical presence again…

The singer-songwriter unveiled new track ‘No One Lied’ onto his Twitter page last night.

The track is a lot more sophisticated and haunting that his previous up-tempo material, but die-hard fans should still be captured by Jacks distinctive vocals.

The video was shot in one take by Dani Castro and see’s a more chiselled Jack shot in a simple black and white setting that goes perfectly with this uncomplicated song.

Let’s hope this is just the start of more to come from Mr Penate!
